I'm still here.

I haven't posted in almost a month.  But, in my defense, I've been kind of busy.  With like, camping.  And, like, other stuff.
I've been lazy.
Here are some pictures of the Perseid meteor shower from the middle of August.  It was beautiful, and as much as these pictures are kind of neat, the in-person was way neater.  It was awe-inspiring and humbling to watch; they made me feel so small.  There are so many things we don't know about the universe, and a part of me likes this.  Some little part of me truly enjoys looking at the sky and wondering.
I plan to really work on this - see if I can take better and better pictures of the sky.  It's definitely a fine balance to be able to expose long enough to get the stars to show up (and the GALAXY!) but not expose so long that the stars start to move, and then still be able to see a meteor here and there.  But if you look close, they are there.  Those little dotted lines in the sky... see them?  They're shooting stars.  Don't they make you wonder?

It's A Boy!

Riley James Gallagher was born on July 17.  He's been here for just about 3 weeks, and I can't believe it's been that long already.  I know, everyone says that about a new baby, and I'm sure his parents feel that way even more than I do.   I'm a little ashamed it took me so long to get these photos together.  He's already so much bigger!  I'll be following up with more family photos after I get back from vacation.  I need to keep up with this stuff better!

Memom's Roses

My parents live in the house that my grandparents bought in 1964.  Every year, for just a few fleeting days, my grandmother's roses bloom.
